For the pool lounge area at a private residence in Beverly Hills, water cascades over a cantilevered elliptical bowl, spilling from an infinity-edge weir into a 9 ft. wide pool lined with smooth beach pebbles. The half-circular stainless steel bowl, approximately 7 ft. wide and finished with a black patina, hugs the garden wall, creating the illusion that it emerges seamlessly from the architecture. The sheeting water reflects the surrounding landscape, while underwater lighting highlights the moment the falling water meets the pool. It was a pleasure to work with Reis Contracting and RIOS.
