The dedicated team at Water Studio provides unparalleled service from start to finish. Our shared goal has always been to collaborate with our clients to create enduring water features that will become the focal point of any space.
Our design team consists of project managers with degrees in architecture and engineering who focus on the management and technical aspects of each project. In addition to general project management, the design team is responsible for producing detailed drawings and specifications to communicate effectively with the architect, the builder, and the client.
Working closely with our project managers, our fabrication team consists of highly skilled fabricators proficient in metal and stone fabrication techniques. Our ability to fabricate and test all of our water features and components in-house provides us with a tremendous advantage to insure optimum performance of our water features at the site.
Our on-site installation and construction team provides complete installation and construction services for all local projects including final startup and adjustments.
Water Studio’s principal, Sean So, has been designing contemporary water and fire features for over 25 years. His passion and dedication has realized numerous accolades from a growing list of prominent clients throughout the world. After graduating with a degree in fine art and industrial design, Sean began his career closely studying and collaborating with the late, renowned artist, Eric Orr, who was considered by many to be a pioneering member of the California art movement known as Light and Space.
Sean’s goal to integrate art, design, and technology to his work has led to the evolution of Water Studio’s creations. With each project, he strives to improve every aspect of the design and process required to realize his vision. Significant accomplishments of Water Studio under his direction include large-scale water walls, integrated fire and water features, and modular infinity-edged pools.
In addition to numerous high-profile commercial and residential projects, recently completed public art projects include the Disney Cancer Center in Burbank, California, the Presbyterian Hospital in Whittier, California, El Paseo in Palm Desert, California, and Linear Cascade for Culver City, California.
