Oro Waves
The water wall in the lobby of Northwest Medical Center in Oro Valley, Arizona consists of seven curved copper columns with bronze patina joined to form an undulating curve, suggestive of sinusoidal waves of water.

The concave portions of the wave are textured to form distinctive, cascading waves of water while the convex surfaces are smooth to create subtler cascading waves. The curved water wall is approximately 9 ft. wide and 8 ft. tall and fits within the recessed wall facing the elevators. The varying surfaces and textures compliment each other creating an interesting play of forms and textures. Near the bottom of the concave columns, water drips from a flat copper ledge on to the polished river stones below creating soft sounds of falling water.
