| Rising from the center of the medians within two street curbs are two functional water sculptures delineating the “El Paseo” district of Palm Desert. The identical sculptures, positioned at opposite ends of the avenue, rise approximately 6 ft. from the level of the street and are viewable by those traveling in both directions. Each sign is crafted of two, asymmetrical curved and textured copper panels. The asymmetrical leaning edges are suggestive of the random manners in which natural elements effortlessly balance within their environment while the straight inner edges merge to unite the two independent sculpture panels. Water cascades behind the shiny copper lettering that are situated prominently on a slender ledge. | ||||||||||
