A polished stainless steel rod forms an arc that starts in front of the black granite water sculpture and continues to the top of the veil by piercing through the granite and the screen. From the front, the shadow of the stainless steel rod can be seen through the veil as the rod is revealed near the bottom of the granite wafer. The base has brushed stainless steel finish, subtly reflecting the white epoxy floor. The shape of the base is a square rotated 90 degrees with the back corner ‘cut off’ by the window. The axis of the base and the sculpture corresponds to the layout of the lobby.
